In 2009 I began Collapse, a project in which I unstitched my three-piece wedding suit and use the resulting pieces as templates in order to create meticulous replicas in alternate, nontraditional materials. These materials have ranged from burlap and tarp to Carhartt's signature rust-brown cotton duck and quilted moving blankets. I finally finished the sixth and final suit of the series. Made from 100% recycled Kraft paper, this suit is displayed to appear as though it is emerging out of (or merging back into) the original roll of paper.
