The Last Lonely Adventure

For this piece I completely unstitched two old camping backpacks and used the resulting nylon pieces as templates in order to create two exact replicas in natural burlap. The original external frames and all of the original hardware were reused, with the exception of the grommets. If left out in the elements, the burlap would eventually deteriorate, leaving only the hardware (the bones) remaining.
